Put Some Weld RT-S Wheels On The GT Today...

Got the RT-S's on the Black Car yesterday. I got the car out today and took some pics. I'm in love with the way it looks. The Black car is quickly becoming my favorite car I have ever owned. My dad even likes the way it looks, so I'm going to try and keep these wheels on it for more than a month or so. They fit the car perfectly, and definately give it a whole different attitude. Next stage will be giving it a little bit more power to back up the looks. More on that later... For now, here's the pics.

And I tried out a new picture spot on my driveway... turned out pretty good I guess..

After I took the pics, I gave it a good detailing all over. I'm taking it to it's first cruise in tomorrow.

I like the look but dislike skinnies on a street driver. Have you adjusted brake bias?

Thanks guys. I'm really enjoying how easy the car drives and how much more lightweight it feels. It really does make a difference! I haven't noticed any difference in going from the 275 to the 165 tire up front. Feels the same to me. Skinnies or go home. Nothing wrong with them at all. I honestly don't know what you mean by adjusting the brake bias lol

The wheel is a 15x9.25 with a 5.5 backspacing. Tire is a 295/50/15 10 year old street tire

Hate to be somewhat of a downer, but try not to pick up too much speed if those tires are indeed 10yrs old. Tires, believe it or not, have an expiration date of 5-6yrs give or take depending on manufacturer. The older they get, the more prone they are to failure.

Just a heads up.

On a separate note, if you'd like to make a severe tire-shredding smoky 'lil burnout vid, those are more than welcome

They're fine. The tires on almost all of my dad's Chevelles are at least 10 years old and we haven't had an issue yet. With as little as I drive the car (190 miles in 1 year), i'm not worried about it. No burnout vids here. Maybe in my fox, but i'm not caking rubber into this car. Plus, a stock 97 GT probably can't even spin a tire
