Hi everyone. I'm putting my stock 92 GT back on the road this week. It has been sitting covered up for a year. I was wondering what else i need to do to it besides change the coolant, oil, and tranny fluid? The gas has been in the tank for probably over 8 months. Can someone tell me a good way to siphon it out and what I would need to add to clean the tank? Thanx

How much fuel is left in the tank? If it is pretty close to empty, I would just fill it with new. If it is pretty full of old fuel, I would siphon it because it doesn't take long for it to go bad.

I would check all of your grounds and battery connections to make sure they are clean. Check the tires. Go easy for a little while to make sure the brakes are still there.

There is only maybe 2 gallons at most in the tank. Can i siphon it by the old trick with the hose in the tank or does that really not work? And also I would like to drive it 2 miles down the road to a friends house to do the tranny fluid and oil. Good idea or should I do it before even starting or driving it?
