I want to get into shaving some weight off this piggy. I allready have no spare (since it doesn't fit over the breaks anymore) and propper racing seats. I am looking to get some aftermarket parts which will help me save some weight, what are your recommendations?

I am thinking

Tubelar K Member, A Arms
Lightened Driveshaft

you could also remove your A/C which saves at least 20 lbs if im not mistaken. and relocate your battery to the trunk. what about a rear seat delete?

How about the carbon fiber ds instead of the al one?
padding under the carpet.
Gut the trunk.
If it's a track car. crash bumpers, door bars, ac, radio, and anything else that don't make it go or stop.
Of course all the things others have suggested.
Put driver on diet?
Are the carbon fiber hoods lighter than the stock ones or fiberglass ones?
carbon fiber deck lid, no spoiler.
replace all the bolts with either AL (if non vital non stressed) or TI.
Start drilling holes in places.

I am about 6 foot tall, and I love the seats, the best mod ever...

How much does the rear seat delete save?

I am thinking of doing the whole front end at once, aluminum block motor with aluminum heads etc... and tubular k member

Get thinner tires; 245 will probably fit your wheels

1)make your own rear seat delete using chloroplast(plastic sign material) covered in non-backed carpet. Make sure to remove all the rear seat belts and brackets. That saved about 40lbs on my car.
2) ditch the Mach 460 (if equiped) and just run a single deck with 4 nice speakers OR if you can't go without decent tunes then a small amp running a single high efficienty sub in a removable box for the track.
3)Go back to the gt brakes and get skinies for up front-saves a good 20-30 lbs
4)There are new, very small batteries out there now(bout half the size and 20lbs less weight with the same cranking amps)
5)Pull the door panels and trim all the metal out of the inner door skin except in the spots that have mounting holes in them, side impact beams can come out to if you're not concerned with safety.
6)Pull the rear deck and enlage the factory holes in the rear deck. If you have a roll cage then cut then entire rear deck out.
7)scrape all the tar-like sound deadner off the floor
8)coil-overs are lighter and in the rear you can go to aluminum control arms
9)remove plastic gas tank cover
10)remove inner plastic fendewells

Some of these might be a little extreme but it's up to you to decide just how far you want to go with it.

Aluminum, Aluminum, Aluminum...

Hood, Block, heads, Flywheel, Driveshaft...

As you mentioned, full tubular front suspension and as others have mentioned: Lose the backseat, go to coil overs, lighter battery in the trunk.

All the ideas mentioned in this thread are really good. It just depends on what the car is used for. If its track only, you could save probably over 100lbs just with the interior, A/C and stereo. Once you have a roll cage in you can get rid of all sorts of weight with the street legal safety stuff. Glass can be replaced with Lexan etc etc etc. Its been said here already, the only limit is how far you want to go.

Acutally I had 275's on the front...BF goodrich and went with 245's on the front and it saved about 12 lbs from both tires! Plus I don't have as much parasitic drag!
