It's hit or miss with each car. Some cars need them even with aftermarket LCA's.

Even if you didn't need them, i would keep them on. They actually do their job.

IDK, any decent aftermarket LCA is going to be much stronger than the stamped stockers. With a MM part I would not doubt it one bit they are more than ok to do without the quad.

The Quad is more of a factory band aid to make up for how crappy the stock LCA's are to help absorbe the shock/flex of those weak LCA's.

With a poly or solid bushing and a tube structure there is no need.

if your stock ones are still in working order i would leave em on, if not toss em

if you end up with wheel hop you can always pick up a new set

ABS codes are not read through a typical code reader.

You more than likely accidentally disconnected a rear sensor or possibly damaged one during the install

Has anyone weighed the rear quad shocks to see how much weight is saved by removing them?

Really, if they are not rubbing….I’d keep them on. The greatly reduce the chance of wheel hop which can absolutely destroy your torque box’s. I’m actually going to be replacing mine (they are shot) with a new set here shortly before I go to the track with the new rims/tires.

Plus Ford likes to save money. If it was a matter of redesigning some $5 bushings to eliminate some $25 shocks, they would have done it a long time ago rather than putting them on every 86-04 V8 Mustang made (except IRS).

They shouldn't be looked at as a band-aid component, but instead as an important suspension part. If you get LCA's and don't have any tire-fittament issues, don't take them off at all.

I removed them on my 91 notch and I got wheel hop. Put the LCA and UCA's on and the wheel hop dropped considerably, but didn't stop. I still got a little. I went from BFG KDW tires to some Goodyear ZR45's and the wheel hop completely went away. Sometimes it's in the tire too.

my 315s rubbed on them.... I flipped them around so the thin shaft was the end toward the tire instead of the fat housing. eliminated the rubbing..... but are they still doing their job??

I left them on. I actually forgot about them while I was installing the LCAs. No problems though, except for that dam ABS light and now my airbag light stays on.

Go back and make sure you didnt accidentally disconnect or tear the abs wire. I remember having to flip the bracket that the parking cable go through and the abs cable slides onto.
