Have a set of Bilstein quad shocks on my 87 GT. Getting ready to go with a little wider wheel and tire setup out back and although I think they will clear the narrower Bilsteins I’m not sure. The car has MAC upper and lower control arms out back already as well as a larger Steeda sway bar and QA1 shocks with the UPR cool over kit. With that said, if the wheel/Tire does not clear the quads, can I just remove them?

You can flip the quad shocks around so the narrow part is by the tire instead of the body of the quad shock. If you have aftermarket lower control arms the quads aren't needed. The softer factory arm bushings will can cause issues without them.

Thanks guys. If I flip them around with the narrower side by the tires, the larger side comes in contact with the spring on the coil over set up. Just gonna remove them I think.

I removed mine when I installed the 18x10 wheels. I have some aftermarket LCAs, stock UCAs, stock shocks and "Saleen" springs (used so not 100% sure). Never had wheel hop and have used street radials, drag radials, ET Streets and Slicks with the setup.
