I went to the track last saturday and got a 14.2 E.T at 97 mph. Best 60 foot time was around 2.19 or something. Anyways it was my first time running at the track. Still learning and i had the stock crappy!!!!! tires on that i got from the dealer when i bought it. But this saturday im going to the track with slicks and hope to get in the 13's. :nice:

2.19 60ft isn't too shabby for the first time at the track.

14.2 to 13's... Hmmm... Slicks might ring out hat ass end but will you get 13's... maybe.

Let's assume you don't miss a shift and you're right on key.... do you think you lost a whole second with those "GREAT" factory tires? If you're modded, maybe. If you're stock, you didn't lose a second...

Just my take... That's a lot of time!

Watch the lights close on those Z rated tires and don't break track! You can do better, but I'm not sure slicks are the way.... YET! If you know what I mean.

While this is true, he only needs .21 off his times to be in the 13's, it may be do-able.

I've run 14.1 @ 98 mph, consistantly, with my 01 auto. Just 3.73 gears and superchips programmed. You should be able to hit 13's with your mods under the right conditions, without drag radials or slicks. Mind you, I was running close to sea level. :nice:

It's definitely in the driver.. My friend has an 03 GT just like mine and it's bone stuck with the exception of a K&N drop in filter and he can run consistant 13.89-13.93's on the stock goodyears, he even cuts 1.9x 60 footers and everything. I on the other hand can't drive to save my life and have gotten into the 13's with the help of boltons, and am now almost into the 12's if I could keep the car from spinning. It takes practice, and some clutch slipping.
