Question about BBK O/R H

I was going to order a MRT O/R H but decided that BBK makes good stuff too for half the price. I called Jeg's and he said it was for 96-98, yet when I ordered a shorty O/R H (sent it back) the other night it came in as 96-04. Could someone tell me if the 96-98 BBK O/R H (for stock headers) will work on a 2000 Auto? If not, could someone find me a link or part number from Jeg's or somewhere else that I can order it?

No it will not work. The 96 thru 98 have different manifolds then the 99 and newer. If you are running LT, any shorty style H-pipe for LT headers from 96 and newer will fit.

So BBK doesn't make an O/R H for 99+ other than shorties? It looks like I'll be sticking it out with the MRT then.

No what I was saying any shorty style o/r H-pipe for LT will work. 96 and newer are the same. BBK, MAC, etc make the shorty o/r H-pipe. Summit has the BBK version.

I was thinking about this before, because I want to do long tubes and an off road H. Since I have '03 Romeo PI heads on my '98 do I buy headers and an H-pipe for an '03 or sitll for a '98? Or does it not matter what year for the headers but just for the mid pipe?

It does not matter when it comes to having LT on the 4.6L.
