Question about cel codes pulled??

My cel light was coming on only the highway. So I pulled the codes using the jumper method. These were what came up:

KOEO:

176 = Heated oxygen sensor indicates lean condition, left side or front side

KOER:

536 = Brake on/off (BOO) circuit failure not activated during KOER
632 = Transmission control switch (TCS) circuit did not change states during KOER

Does the first one just mean to replace the o2 sensor's?? What exactly is meant by the other 2 codes???

Well if you've never changed the O2's before then now is the time. They are only good on our cars for about 30,000 miles. However the 176 just means your running lean. If you have an adjustable fuel regulator then turn the pressure up 2-3psi incriments. Clear the codes, do a WOT and see if it comes back. If you don't have an adjustable regulator, your car is telling you to get one.

I'm guessing you have an automatic with the other two codes since I'm not familiar with them. Sorry I'm no help for you there.

Yes it is an auto. I just added the info above. I forgot to add it. I was going to chang out the O2 sensors anyways. The car has 162,000 miles on it and the O2's look like they're original.

I haven't added any mods to it yet. It is pretty much stock except for some MSD stuff, wires, coil, cap and rotor. The previous owner installed a half/a$$ exaust. It has a set of cherry bombs installed...LOL

I reset the codes like the info said to. It said to disconect the jumper wire after you recieved the codes while leaving the key on.

I don't have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I guess that I will try and swap out the O2's to see if it comes back.

Hopefully someone knows what the other 2 codes mean??

When you started yanking codes, did you hit the brake pedal and turn the OD off (hit the button)?

I'm guessing no, which can trigger those codes. If you try again and do that, those might go away (the book tells you when to do it - you gotta sprint around from the diagnostic connector and do it pretty quick once you begin the process).

I don't have a book to get the info from. I found the info online that says how to get the codes and what they mean. It doesn't really explain all of the steps.

I didn't hit the brake pedal or push the OD button while doing the tests. Am I supposed to do that??

when you start the test ,step on the brake once,then hit the overdrive button twice.

The haynes manual tells you exactly how to do it correctly. I believe after the CEL flashed 4 times indicating you have a 8 cylinder, you are supposed to cycle the boo and o/d switch. IIRC, you are also supposed to turn the steering wheel 90* one way, then 180* the other, then return to center.... BUt I can't remember for sure.
