I just turbocharged my 90' coupe. I'm using a 1.27 ar holset Turbo, Tial wastegate. right now it has 2" chrossover pipe and a 3" inch down pipe (which will be changed to 4 soon). The heads are stock, except the valve springs, and they are port matched the the Performer RPM intake manifold. It also has an E cam. I am currently blowing through a Granetelli mass air and using 24 lb injectors, 70 mm throttle body etc... My question is I need more fuel Bad. I am building another motor (306) to take it over 20 lbs of boost, which shooud be good for 600+ hp. This setup is totally new to me, and I would Like some suggestions on what size injsectors, throttle body, and other things I might need. I am planning on pushing it into the mid to low 10s.
Thankyou for any feeback :D

stock block, trickflow main support, and ARP rod bolts, I know its alot on a stock block, but its a street car and will probably not go much past 10lbs on the street. I also have a 255 lb/hr pump, I would just like to kknow if a vortech fmu will work for now or shoud I invest in a stand alone, and invest in all new fuel components. I have driven the car on the 24# with the fuel pressure cranked up the 60lbs of pressure, but it starves for fuel after 10 lbs of boost.

The biggest challenge you face is the HP level you're contemplating is probably gonna split the stock block down the middle at some point. To me that's a much bigger issue to resolve on the new build than the fuel management system. If you're serious about building a 600+HP motor, I'd only start with a Dart block, or equivalent.

I'd post over in the boosted thread for counsel on the best fuel system to run.

about the fuel issue get rid of the FMU. I hate fmu's, they work ok with no more than 8-10psi of boost. I would recommend getting a standalone system such as a tweecer. If your fuel pressure gets high enough it will eventually push fuel past the pintle and try to hold the injector open.

How much boost are you running now? I think the 24 lb'ers may be on the small side, I don't know all the specific's. I would not recommend that kind of horsey or boost with a stock block, ticking time bomb. There was a post here (I think it was here) a couple of weeks ago showing a stock block split in half. Here is a link with some good info about using stock short blocks, not to mention lots of good info else where, http://www.turbomustangs.com/techarticles/stockblock.php

I would really recomend going with a stand-alone aftermarket computer because your asking the old 1980's basic computer to do something a lot differently than originally intended. Those old computers are so slow that you could be at full throttle and full boost and your computer is still compensating for idle and won't deliver the fuel correctly.

Oops the fuel issue...

I wouldn't waste my time with little upgrades to the stock system. Your planning on some serious HP which will take some serious fuel. Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade... you'll end up spending more for a weaker system, instead I would go with a full system from a really strong after tank pump, 1/2" if not wider line to full rails and at least 50lbs injectors.
