question about my stang

I have a 1988 GT, but I have tilt wheel and mass air, do I have the forged pistons as well. I've read around that those options came on the 1989-1993s but I definitely have an 1988..

I also have a wonderful 85MPH Speedo

yes you have forged pistons. unless someone did a mass air conversion, your car is an original california car. all 88 mustangs sold in california were mass air, whereas everyone else didn't get mass air until the following year.
