i have a 92 hatch and im about to buy soe new speakers to replace the factory Ford ones. I measured the speakers next to each of the seats in the back and got 8 x 5 and 5/8ths as an exact size. i was wondering if 8by6s would fit. Im almost positive that 9by6s dont fit. What are you guys running for yourspeakers? Any good suggestions? I need all the impt i can get. thanks a million.

I'm pretty sure that the rear speaker size in a hatch is 5x7. Run a search.

i replaced the speakers in my car and am very dissapointed in the bass performance. Do any of you guys know how to improve bass without going to subs?

I packed the entire area behind the speaker with Poly fill, i used like 1 bag per side, it helped, and cut down on rattling. You can get it at craft stores. its just polyester batting. I ues 1 bag per side.
