Hey All,

I have a 92 Mustang and I am in the middle of replacing the water pump. When I took out the bolts they were looking in bad shape, so I purchased a timing cover/water pump bolt kit from Texas Mustang, P/N 154-1503, it's the 12 pt black bolt kit from ARP. My question is will the bolts for the water pump from this kit work with the accessory drive bracket for the A/C & P/S?

Thanks in advance.

FWIW, if that doesn't work out, the folks on here have posted that one can get the water pump bolts as a kit from the parts stores.

Good luck.

The arp bolt kit is just that...a set of bolts. they dont have the studs on the heads necessary for holding your accessory brackets. that being said, if you need bolts as good as arp's on just your water pump, then you probably have a serious engine and dont run accessories. :D

See http://totallystainless.net/totally.html for the bolts. Last time I checked, they didn't have the studs. Nice folks, very into cars of all types. They have all kinds of stainless fasteners for almost every car. The prices are very reasonable, less the $8 for the water pump kit without the studs.

The studs are a Motormite item available at your local Advance Discount auto Parts store.

Yeah unfortunately that Motormite kit you mentioned only has those 3 bolts so it does me no good. Looks like I'll have to hit up the Ford dealership in my area for the correct bolts/studs for my waterpump.

But thanks for all the replies everyone. :)

the ford dealer would have cost me a lot for all the bolts. so i just went to the junkyard and found a crown vic and pulled them out. a couple were corroded of course, but theres always a lot of crown vic 5.0's laying around, at least there are here.
