Question for Supradude26

You said in another thread ( http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=744697 ) that you had built an enclousure that fit in the space under where the top on a vert folds down. I would like to know if you have the dimensions of that area with the top down. I have just put an order in for two JL audio 13TW5 subs. I really want to get these hidden under the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the dimensions for the area, but as you can see in the pictures I made the box for a single 10" sub. I don't think that there is any way you can "hide" two 13" subs in a vert, let alone a coupe being that you will need a box that is about 1.6 cubic feet for a pair of those subs. The one that I made was about .9 cubic feet, and it was a tight fit. I think the only way you could do it and still have a good amount of trunk space is to lose the spare and fiberglass a box in the tub with a false floor built over the top of it. I have done a couple with three 10" subs, and I have a box with two 12" subs in my car that only required the trunk floor to be raised 2 inches. The first thing you need to do is remove all the trunk liner panels under the top area and test fit the speakers with the top down to give yourself an idea of what may work. Good luck!!
