Some of you have seen my posts here about some slight oil driping from near the connector of the drain line and fitting. Im pretty sure it's not the fitting connection at the pan. The hose is a little wet near the clamp, but I dont think it's running down the hose from up top, becaust higher up on the hose it is drier.
My main thought is a slight cut in the hose near the bottom, but with that mushy material surrounding the hose, it's hard to see a cut.
I was considering just getting a regular hose from Pep Boys and replacing it, but before I go through the trouble of removing the head and going through all that work, here is my main question:
Do you think I could just cut the hose about 12" up from the bottom fitting, insert a connector, clamp the upper "clothy" part of the hose and the newer lower part of the hose to the connector, and observe from that point to see if it still leaks.?
THis way, I can "check it out" by only doing about 20 minutes worth of work with the car jacked up.!
What do you think?
