hey all!!
Just signed up, really like these forums.
We don't usually work on mustangs , but I'm trying to expand the business.
So I took on a bone stock 2001 GT convertable 4.6 auto.

Customers wants to do X-pipe and cat-back.
I've always heard good things about Bassani and after reading countless posts about it on these forums...
I ordered the stainless steel off-road X-pipe,o2 simulators and cat-back.

My concern is, will there be any fitment issues because the vehicule is convertable...

Did many searches and couldn't come up with anything....
And couldn't find anything either on their website.

Thanks in advance

yeah it doesnt matter if its convertible or hardop.

is the Xpipe going to be catless or catted? you will need either some MIL Eliminators to get rid of the CEL due to having no cats and the rear o2's picking that up if you go catless. if you install catless you might also want to check regulations in your area, i know most places its illegal to install a part that gets rid of factory emissions equipment.

Convertible only comes into play when you are considering different types of sub frame connectors or side exit exhaust.

Only certain subframes work and no side exit exhaust works with verts.

Bassani is one of the best manufacturers of Mustang exhaust systems there is.

We are going with the cat-less X-pipe and as I stated in my post, I also ordered O2 simulators.

I should be receiving the stuff early next week.
I will let you guys know how it goes..........

Thanks again for all the responses.....makes me feel much better about the job!
