Question on brake installation/result

I drive a 2000 Mustang GT, and i recently ordered new pads and rotors off ebay, I had a few people recommend them so I gave em a shot since they were kinda lower cost but still nice. Today i put the rear rotors and pads on and the fitment is pretty snug mabey almost to much? I have everything together correctly I believe and even with the tire on i can turn it at all by hand. Is this just how it is when you install brand new pads since there pretty thick or was i supposed to sand them down somewhat? I could really use some help. Or after I drive around for a bit will the pads break in and loosen up a bit? the rotors are drilled and slotted and they are evolution ceramic pads.

Are u sure that its normal? I mean I cant even turn the wheel at all with the tire on and snugged.

You should never sand any part of your brakes.

This is normal. Did you follow the break in procedure? If not, they will be shaking in a few hundred miles.

I havn't even drove with them yet, I just recently installed the rear rotors and pads and still have the car on stands to finish with the front rotors and pads now but I do have a slip of paper that says for break in I should do 5 hard stops from 40-5 without letting brakes cool then 5 moderate stops 25-5 while letting brakes cool in between each braking session. Does that sound some what right because i didn't know if that was to be done with new rotors, I'm kind of new to this because it's my first brake job. But yeah so far I only did the rear brakes and I can't turn the tire by hand so I was just curious if it was supposed to be that tight and if it would wear down some what after a bit of driving, which you guys seem to think? Correct?

Sounds like you may need to screw in the caliper a little more. It will wear down some, but not right away. This will ruin your break in procedure.

The break in sounds correct to me.

Well the thing is I used the caliper tool to push the piston back in and I think i have it in all the way because it is flush with the rubber housing around the piston if not a little further by about a cm or so. Also to do the break in steps I have to drive a little ways to get to a safe and sufficient spot to break them in will it be "ok" if I just apply the brakes very lightly and drive much slower than usual?

I down shifted and didn't hit my brakes until I was breaking them in. A little won't hurt, but do not heat them up.
