Question on NGK Irridium IX TR55IX plugs

I just bought some of the NGK Irridium IX plugs for my 97 stang but someone told me my car wouldnt run good with them in. Is this true or should i run copper plugs instead and if I did what should be the gapping with all the mods I have listed. I know with the nitrous to run colder plugs but i dont have that hooked up yet.

I have been running TR-55IX Iridiums for the last 70,000 miles. They are a long life performance plugs, with the way modular heads are prone to stripping, the less often I have to change plugs the better. Sure copper plugs are good for performance, but look how often they have to be changed.
