ok, when i bought my car, it came with working seatbelts. but, it didnt come with the female anchors (the things bolted to the floorpan near the console) in the front or rear. my car is a 91 coupe w/ a titanium gray interior. i can get 4 anchors (2 front 2 rear) off a buddy's 89 hatch w/ charcoal gray interior. are they the same thing just different colors? how large is the bolt that holds them down?

thanks alot guys

The front are the same. Not sure if the back is. The bolts that hold them in are torx headed bolts with a large shank.

The same torx bolts are used in all the seatbelt anchors - you can just pull another one and check it out.

The colors will probably be a little different (the grays changed a littl) but it may not be noticible where they are.

I beleve it is a Torx Plus bit that holds the anchors down (which are more rounded than standard torx).

seat belts suck, mine have never worked and i bought a pair at a swap meet....which also don't work now

EDIT: I'll leave the link

Here's why they use Torx Plus instead of stardard Torx.

Myself, I've used a standard T-50 and done ok, but it sounds like there's a more specific socket for this.
