I just bought my 3rd Mustang and have a lot of questions about how to go about restoring and modifying the car. It’s by far the fastest stang I've owned and at this point I have very little money to put into it.

First of I don't know the potential of my setup any input would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly I have no experience with traction and am simply thinking of doing upper and lower control arms. Will this be enough?

Lastly I am not sure of the power band of this car and have been told I may run out of gear before the end of the quarter. Well I do not believe so if you could enlighten me as to how much gear I really have and how far it will take me that would be great.

With that said I would like to say that my goals are mid to low 12s on Nitto or BFG DRs with no power adder and I want to run those times in full form.

I don't know the Cam specs or transmission specs only that it is a tremec, also I was told that the compression is 10.7:1. I just found out that the Alt is off a 96 and I have still not checked to see what rockers I have.

Given the extensive modifications of the car which direction should I take.

are your konis adjustable? if not you may want to look into getting a set that are. also upper's and lowers are a good idea. perhaps you want to throw a rear air bag in the passenger side spring. this will help during lauches. Sub frame connectors if you don't have them will also help because it will not allow the car to flex asmuch. removal of the front sway bar or just disconecting it will also help for launching allowing your front suspension to lift better. As far as running out of gear......... 4th with 4.10 should be around the 115 mph at 6000 rpm. there is nodoubt you could pull past that so 6500 is like 125mph. if you are going faster then that you could go and get some 28 inch slicks to get the rpms down a little for the same speed 125 would be more like 6200 rpm.

I have custom full lenght Sub frames, and the konis aren't adjustable, The upper control arms seem to be custom as well,
upper rears? usally all a guy needs to do is get rid of his lower rear control arms for stronger ones. this will get rid of any wheel hop and you can lose the quad shocks. the reason i say get adjustable konis is because right now you probably have more of a road course strut and shock. stiff. thats not what you want if you are going to 1/4 mile. but its nice to stiffen up the suspension again for road duty. i hear a lot of good things about strange engineering 10 way adjustable struts and shocks.

I plan on driving this car daily I just want to go to the track once and a while and run mid to low 12s in full street trim. Given the current setup of the car what should my next mods be.
-track
-dyno
-upper and lowers
-DRs
-Juice
-Different head and cam combo (would it be worth the cost)
ect..ect

i think you have a solid set up. i would say get a dyno tune to make sure you are getting everything out of your current set up. take it to the track a few times see how it runs. then maybe go with juice. only way to know if you need to get better uppers and lowers and suspension is to see how your current one hooks up at the track. do some test and tuning then go from there.
