Hello all,

I put a down payment today on an 1989 Mustang GT. It's got Flowmaster, BBK H-Pipe, BBK Shorty Headers and Hurst Short Throw Shifter. It's black and the paint is in pretty good shape.

My question is, what should I be looking for before proceeding with the deal? Is there anything specific that I should check to see if it's running right at all? I'm new to the Mustang world. I just got rid of my '88 Iroc Z28. Also, it has 113000 miles on it and the dealer is asking 5600. Is that a good price?

Any info would be very helpful.

thats a little high , but if its clean , and I mean really clean it might be worth it .

I would say HIGH price. Work the price, especially if it is at a dealership, they probably have $2000 in the car, if that. Just my opinion though.

If a dealer is asking $5600 i would say it's probably a little over priced. Try to get him down to $5000, if that car is clean.

He said 113,000 miles on it, but its still a really high asking price.

yeah i agree. price is high and if it is a dealership and they really wanna sell it then i would probably offer then 4500 and go from there. i dont think i would even pay 5000 for it. just my $.02

way to much for that car with that many miles, but make sure they completely cleaned it and tuned it up.
