I'm going to be looking for a used set of 42lb injectors for my car soon and want to know some questions to ask the seller before buying them to make sure they are still good. Heres what I've come up with so far.

How long have they been off the car?
How were they stored?
How many miles are on them?
Any problems with them?

Add, delete, modify my list of questions as you please. If I can find used injectors that are still in good condition I rather do that instead of buying new ones.

I would take a kick in the balls before I bought used injectors. Most likely nothing will be wrong with them, but if there is you take the chance of causing some engine damage especially if you are running a power adder. Used parts such as heads, blocks, pistons, rods, cranks, trannies, and injectors just scare me. I would rather spend the extra dollars and be at peace.

I would just visually inspect them. Your going to have to trust what the seller tells you, so if your looking to get them from the FFW swap meet, then take a look at the seller, i wouldnt be as inclinded to believe what some shoddy looking, disorganized vendor says, as to what a well organized, clean looking vendor space/seller says.

If we happen to go on the same day, i could meet up with you and help you find them.

Thanks for the warning. I'd like to buy new injectors but I'm working on a budget :( Anyone else know of what to look for when buying used injectors?

ask if he can hook it up to a voltage meater and ask what they read to see if there still good

RC, they are too much for my current setup, but I'm getting them for when I'm going to be running a blower at 12-14psi :D Thats why I havent bought 24's or a 190 pump yet... I'd have to turn right back around, sell them, and I'd lose money on them.

JUst make sure the pintle caps aren't cracked and the O rings are in good shape. New pintle caps are cheap though. Nothing at all wrong w/ buying new injectors, i for my 30's used for $120..
