Quick clutch engagement point question

i was wondering why i cant adjust my engagement point any lower (its pretty high right now)

The deal is, the pawl is grabing the quadrant about midway on the quadrent. And when i try to make it grab on the quadrant higher (aka making the engagement point lower) the pawl just slips back to where it was (like its not putting much pressure on the quadrent). Im not sure if the clutch is aftermarket or stock (used car) but the pedal is pretty stiff. One more thing, its a stock quadrent and no firewall adjuster. Im wondering if theres some other way to adjust it so the clutch grabs maybe midway or a little below midway (would be ideal).

Maybe im just not seeing something right here... (and i have searched to forum and still didnt find a solid answer for me)

Help apreciated,
David

Chances are your clutch cable is trashed. My clutch pedal was very hard to push and it wasn't letting the clutch fully engage. I went with the kit from Maximum Motorsports with a firewall adjuster and billet quadrant. The cluth pushes way easier now, I'm using a SPEC 1.

maybe ill start looking around for a new quadrant, firewall adjuster, and cable.... kinda short on money as of now but if the guy before me did change the clutch, i heard the stock qaudrant is just something waiting to break anyway.

Anyone else on kit suggestions (i'll check out maximum motorsports)

thanks,
David
