Ok so im ready to do gears. I have a 5 speed tranny. I have 3.27's in it right now. So my question is I have a set of 3.55's laying in the garage but will I feel a difference. If not my dilemma is between 4.10's and 4.30's. Ok, so My tires are P285-40-R17 and I just measured from the ground to the top of the tire and it's 26 inches. So could any one give me an estimate of how many RPM's I will be at 70 MPH. Currently with the tires and 3.27's I'm at 1900 RPM's. Also to note I get about 250 miles to the full tank of gas. How much could I expect it to go down. I'm sure some one on here has either of those gears in their car. I'm looking for some opinions. Thanks guys, Clint

The 3.55 are a waste from 3.27's. Not worth the install with that little difference.

Your other question...are you talking about RPM's at a certain speed? With 4.10's I'm at 3000 at 80. As far as gas I lost maybe a mile per gallon at the most.

As long as you dont stomped on it everyday, you'll will probally not even tell a differnce with gas with 4.10s.
I say go with 4.10s. Like COramprat said, it would not be worth the little change that would get if you go with 3.73s

4.10's and you will defenately feel the difference in the the car but hardly on the gas mileage

Another vote for 4.10s if you're staying NA.

26" tall tires and 1900 RPM is about 67 MPH (Edited using 0.67 5th). With 4.1 that is about 2400 RPM and with 4.3 that is about 2500 RPM

I have 4.10s and my mileage is just fine. The car pulls much harder than with 3.27s. You won't notice a difference with the 3.55.

I wouldn't even waste my time with 3.55's!!!! If you had a 5.0L,maybe,but not with a 4.6L!!!!!
N/A,4.10's,i had 3.73's and wasn't satisfied,it actually bugged me .
So i made the move to 4.10's,and am very happy.Miliage is still good, reason is that i am not working the engine as hard to make her move .
