Just pulled mine off and I can barely see a spec of light with a flashlight shining in it...don't want to bust it out if not neccessary....help

I don't know the answer to that, but I took my stock h pipe off and looked inside it....nothing....could see right through it. That explained why I couldn't for the life of me pass emissions. To all the gutted cat guys out there, if you sell your car, dont lie to the guy and say you didn't gut the cats 
How did the car run before you pulled the exhaust? If I remember the stock pipes right, they are fairly long and bendy, so the flashlight may not be a good test. Don't know never gave it much thought. I just ripped mine out and put in a MAC prochamber.
If they were plugged the motor would barely have run, if at all. Were you having any problems with the tune, running rich or really hot?
I agree with 93 teal terror. I was told that mine had Flowmasters. I took it to a shop for a prepurchase inspection, and found out the car didn't even have mufflers! The stock 302 sounded pretty decent with just the cats though. Got a little discount and bought the car anyway.
