most likely the motor is shot....there is these three pieces you can replace (really cheap) in the motor, they are white cylinderical objects (if this doesn't work, there is a great possibility it is your actual motor)

Yes you will have to take of the panel . For easy access to the motor
remove your speaker. there is a plug there that attaches to your motor. You
will have to unplug this. There are 3 screws that attach your motor to the door. remove them, and remove the motor.

My car does a similar thing from time to time, but not with any regularity. But it does a little different. The drivers side switch won't put the passenger side window up/down, but the passenger side switch will. The passenger switch always works, so I suspect my problem is the driver side window switch it's self.

First, if *either* switch is bad on the passenger side, it will keep the motor from working. You need to verify that it is not a switch. Use your good one (driver's) and first place it in the driver's passenger switch and try. Then swap it over to the passenger door and try. You may also want to borrow a friend's known good so that you are testing with two known good switches in case both of them on the circuit is bad.

okay so if my drivers side switch and passengers side switch wont make the passenger side window go up or down then its my motor? wouldnt it prolly b my drivers side switch(master) but it does work fine for the drivers side window, is it my master switch or my motor???

As tjm73 mentions, I had the same thing happen, only intermittently. The driver's switch of the passenger circuit would all of a sudden not work. I would use the passenger side switch and the motor would run. This went on for many months until the driver's side passenger motor switch eventually died and the window would not move no matter which switch I tried. I had to keep swapping the driver's side driver motor switch to the other circuit if I wanted the passenger window to move. Even cleaning the switches with Electronic Parts Cleaner spray did no good. Now I have a used good switch and all is fine. The window even moves up and down faster.
