Quick question i was wondering about

Lets say you take a totally stock car, a 2003 Mustang GT and add a catback exhaust and an O/R X pipe. Did you just make it run leaner or richer by adding those 2 things? Thanks

rich or lean has to due with your air/fuel mixture. that is determined on the intake side of thing rather than the exhaust. an o/r pipe will cause you emissions to go up.

your exhuast side can cause a minor rich or lean condition as well though

thats the joy of scavenging

if your running a pure MAP sensor expect to go a little lean cause the exhuast system is now pulling the exhuast out a lot better which in turn pulls more of an intake charge in
