Quick question regarding 24lbers & FP???

Just slapped in a set of 24lbers, Wanted to know what should the ideal pressure be set at with VAC line off, of course?

The car does adjust for normal driving. The FP setting is pretty much your setting when you go WOT.


You did install a different MAF or got a tune for the 24's right?

45 is about as high as you should go but I'd say a bit lower than that should be fine.

I'm assuming you got an adj FPR?

From 19lb to 60lb. All injector flow rates are rated right at 40psi. So no, its not just for 24lb injectors.

Throw boost or nitrous into the equation, and that changes things.

Yes, i have a kirban Adj F/P reg, C&L 76mm MAF, I swapped in the correct sampling tube as well for 24's. The car idles better, has more pep up top as well. Feels all around better. The 19's seemed a bit restrictive with H/C/I, liek it was starving for fuel a bit. No more pinging i noticed.
Let me ask you guys though, I set it at 39 vac line off, when i put the vac line on it sits @ 32PSI vac line attached on the gauge idling. Does this sound about normal/right?

Normaly is would sit at about 35psi with the vac hooked up. Main thing is the make sure the Fuel pressure is hits the 39-40 psi mark during WOT and heavy load. Only way to do this is monitor the gauge while driving. You should be fine though.

But to answer your question, yes, it perfectly normal for the Pressure to drop once the vacuum line is hooked up.
