I pretty sure you are correct on this. Alot of cars had those shift interlocks on them for movement. In case the car had to be moved in case of an emergency or if it is stuck.ToplessStang said:That is a hole for the shift interlock. nope it is 100% a hole for the OD on/off button, on i'm guessing pre 97 auto's...they moved it onto the shifter sometime after 96...but mine is in that exact location.javsvt said:I pretty sure you are correct on this.
