What is the easiest way to change my thermostat? from the looks of it i may have to take my water pump off just to get to the lower bolt..
I tried i cant get a socket in there..Jaswir said:you do not have to take your waterpump off to get to it... the bolts are right there you should be able to get to them easy.... i changed mine in like 30mins couple months ago!
May sound stupid but how do i mark it?Daggar said:You need a thin wrench, like the others said. not a socket wrench.
And yes... you will knock the timing off. Just mark it before you move it so you can put it back in the same spot.

They look pretty rusted and both you and i know my history with rusted bolts and water passages.....ram360 said:try a marker...![]()
pull off the dist cap and mark the relation of the rotor w/ a mark on the inside of the dizzy before you pull it. No need to remove it though. I'd done them on both cars using a thin wrench.
