where did you guys get that 3m sealant that you need?? the part number for the 3m sealant is 0511535-08578, i got this from that mustang monthly article a few months ago, if anyone wants it, they can email me at [email protected] and i'd be happy to forward it, as it wont attach here for some reason, i got some new rear quarter windows for my hatchback for free and cant find anyone who has the sealant?!?!!

thanks

Your part number had an extra '5' in it I came up blank at first. The actual number is 051135-08578. It's 3M Strip Caulk and I've read that it is available at auto parts stores, auto body shops, and even the dealer. Supposed to be pretty cheap, very sticky, and never dries out.

man, i called a ton of local stores here and no one had any idea what i was talking about, i would be stoked if anyone knew where i could just order some, 5.0resto had no answers for me and they dont carry it by the way

anyone have to order this?? where??

When I did mine my friend at the body shop ordered it. He ordered several different ones. I think they were different thicknesses because we tried a couple before we got the right seal. Did you try an autobody/paint supply house?

thanks guys! if i cant get that 3m seal to my house this weekend, i'll probably just rtv it, i thought about that, but wondered if it would work or not, i guess so :D thanks for all the links to sites too bro, when other people search they can now find it also,

Better late than never ;) . I had to go vacation in the biggest storm in years.

If you go wingless on a GT, it will look funny with the ground effects. Kinda like a t-bird SC. I pulled the ground effects at the same time so I look like above. The camera is in maine right now and all I have is tail shots which wouldnt be that interesting. But......Here's the picture I used as inspiration. It's a wingless 84 I spotted on ebay.

Have fun!
