Your part number had an extra '5' in it I came up blank at first. The actual number is 051135-08578. It's 3M Strip Caulk and I've read that it is available at auto parts stores, auto body shops, and even the dealer. Supposed to be pretty cheap, very sticky, and never dries out.

When I did mine my friend at the body shop ordered it. He ordered several different ones. I think they were different thicknesses because we tried a couple before we got the right seal. Did you try an autobody/paint supply house?

Just RTV it. The window bolts up so the chaulk doesnt need to support the weight of the window. It's just leak proofing. It's what I did and no problems.

Better late than never . I had to go vacation in the biggest storm in years.

If you go wingless on a GT, it will look funny with the ground effects. Kinda like a t-bird SC. I pulled the ground effects at the same time so I look like above. The camera is in maine right now and all I have is tail shots which wouldnt be that interesting. But......Here's the picture I used as inspiration. It's a wingless 84 I spotted on ebay.

Have fun!

Pete
