Racecraft Suspension

I love driving my stang around the curvy roads near my home (PLAY TIME!). Ive thought of possibly installing a Saleen Racecraft suspension in the near future so I can take those tight curves at even higher speeds. Is it really worth the money? Just curious.

i personally own a saleen that comes with the racecraft suspension. I have too say that it handles very very well on curvy roads and especially at high speeds. My car is dropped 2 inches and i'm currently having problems with a bilstein front strut. Other than that the suspension package is great. I've driven to big bear for vacation and i thought i would take the saleen. If anybody knows big bear they know how curvy the roads are i was taking them at 70 mph with out sliding. I would suggest you get the whole package instead of the basic. Hope this helps.

I have never drove a stock GT so i have nothing to compare my car to but I would say invest your money into Maximum Motorsports or another higher quality brand. I am about to replace my complete suspension.

How much does a racecraft suspension system cost?

Man, it must be nice to be independently wealthy! I saw another post of yours, wanting to get your Stang into the low 13s or high 12s...and now you want to drive like Mario? I guess I should have stayed in the grocery business! Hey, just kidding!!! Just please be safe out there...

Don't spend money on Saleen or Roush. They are band-aid kits that don't address the true deficiencies (there are many) of the fox chassis. Your money would be MUCH better spent at Griggs or Maximum Motorsports. IMHO, Steeda is up there as well, but some say their parts aren't up to full race track duty like the other's mentioned.

Go with MM or KB, stay away from Saleen or Roush.
I would go with MM or Griggs personally, but I wouldn't say to stay away from saleen and roush. You can get stuff cheaper independently (since saleen uses bilstein and eibach etc.), but you can't forget that Roush's are pulling 1g on the skidpad.. that spells a nice suspension set up.

For the same $$$, you can get the MM sport box. http://www.maximummotorsports.com/giab.asp#sport This package includes better quality stuff than the Saleen kit. Most of the components are resuable as you grow.

A few examples of how the MM kit is better:
-Weld-in subframe connectors. These are superior to the bolt on Saleen, as they profived a stronger contact with the chassis.
-Pan Hard bar. Provides better lateral control for the rear axle. This part isn't in the Saleen kit.
-Better CC plates. These are 4-bolt jobbies that have more adjustablilty. These are better if you ever decide to go with a coil over setup
-strut tower b and lower chassis brace - there aren't included with the saleen kit. These in combo with the sub frame connectors really firm up the chassis.
-Tech support. MM tech support will be there as you grow, giving you honest advice from a knowledgable person. Saleen will ignore you. if they pick up the phone the guy won't know what he's talking about.
-Build quality - MM stuff is powder coated and built for race cars and street cars. Saleen stuff is strictly street car.

Saleen is better here:
-The Saleen has better quility shocks. In either case, these parts would need to be upgraded as you advance.
-The Saleen has LCAs. Not in the MM kit. These might be useful if you drag race. I think the Saleens have Poly Bushings at both ends, which will HURT your handling.

-They both use similar spring rates and lowering.
