Don't race them from a roll because their turbo/s will spool
faster than you Procharger D1 will start to make boost from a roll. You should
race them from a dig the AWD cars shine from a roll
your 1st sentence doesn't make sense and the 2nd is wrong

a friend of mine has a 6spd awd S60R (300hp). from a light (at the track of course) we'll be about even thru 1st and 2nd then i'll pull away slowly. he doesn't launch it hard at all though, 3 maybe 4krpm.

from a roll i'll walk away as soon as i stomp it. the awd and turbo lag hurt him from a roll. we're talking 20-100 though, on the highway my car dies at 100 (end of 3rd) and the R keeps pulling steadily as far as my sotp meter. we've yet to run on the highway though

his auto 850 R wagon (fwd) with less power keeps up a with me from a roll

EDIT: 'o2 gt 5spd with k&n fipk, prochamber and dual carbon fiber muffler keychains

I just met someone that has a 1997 toyota supra twin turbo and says its modified, boost controller, cai, exhaust, and some engine work. I think that car will beat mine but i thought i'd ask you guys and see what you guys think and if anyone's ever raced one of these. I've recently got my pony supercharged and the only car ive race is a 2005 ls2 gto in 1/8 mile and beat him by about 3 cars but my lead was growing fast. I have an 8 pound pulley and a boost gauge and it seems sometimes i get 6 pounds and sometimes up to 10. Also, some guy with a 2004 subura wrx sti also asked me to race him and i know for a fact that he's a really good drive.

Hmmm

Are those the stock twin turbos or aftermarket kits like sp and what not.

Well a BPU supra can push an easy 500rwhp. I don't know why he'd have engine work unless the car is making a lot of power like 700+ because the stock 2jzgte motor is very very strong and can handle 700rwhp.

I wouldn't race him unless you know how much power he is pushing, maybe he still has a stock fuel system if so its not more than 500 cause thats all the stock fuel system can push.

Supras are a hell of a car i was going to buy one awhile ago but bought a rx-7 instead cause i wanted to be able to handle well and have straight line.

Oh yah as for the WRX don't worry they are crap atleast its not an EVO. Just don't race the wrx stopped cause on launch that awd will get you!!!

if the car's got 600hp i probably wouldn't even try (ok, maybe from a stop. auto's kick ass from a stop)

race him anyway:nice:

I know that wrx's aren't all that but i know that sti's have been known to beat evo mr's at least hear in reno nevada an sti has a lil more respect then the evo's and ive never met an sti owner that didnt have at least 2 or 3 mods done 2 his car.

funny thing about soup-rah owners aroud here......they'll jump at the chance to race you from a roll. When it comes to the track, they mysteriously have to work that night, even if they dont have a job

One of the local Fbody guys switch to a sti, did their usual upgrades. Sorry I heard down pipe exhaust and some other stuff really wasn't paying attention.
He runs 8.1's in the 1/8 mile.
I've raced him a few times and he was rigth there at launch then I pulled ahead of him.
played from a roll and put 3 cars on him and we went from where he was spooled and ready to go.

Now supra's you never can tell, and heck for that matter even if it does make big dyno #'s really don't mean anything. Line up and kick. I've raced a local guy "supposedly" over 600 rwhp supra many times at the track, he has never came around me, yet. But on the big end of the 1/8 he is coming HARD. I think last time we raced he trapped 97mph and ran a 7.9 or 8 flat.

450hp is EASY to get at the wheels on a TT supra.. 15-16psi on stock turbos, wired to run as true twins, Front mount, downpipe, intake, exhaust and a decent tune... so for under 2g youve got a monster that has some serious response. as far as the WRX/STi goes be careful as oen guy here had a black 04 STi w/ just a vishnu stage 2 chip and a turbo back exhaust and was running mid 7's in the 1/8th... that is when it wouldnt spin off the line.
