racing my buddies 350z

His is an 04? 03? whatever the first year they came out. It's stock, or so he says. I took a ride in it, it's quick, but I didn't feel it was any quicker than my car. We're going to race at the Kennedale 1/8th on weds and if he's still in town going to ennis for the 1/4 on sat... He doesn't have very sticky tires for it and can't launch too good. Am I going to get owned? Give me your opinions... Thanks.

I thought they were supposed to be high 13 second cars? And I pretty sure he can drive, he was into the Dallas street racing scene until opening a shop, having his partner rip off half his crap and now he does drifting (don't ask where I meet these people). I would think he's got more power than I do...

Your dum. I raced a 350z and got pulled right away from a 45 roll there fast car's. with the mod's you have it might be a close one

Yeah brainiac but this isnt a 45 roll its an 1/8th mile drag race. he might trap i little more but u will beat him. If he gets a good run he might go 9.40s. Those 350Zs arent that fast. I see them at the track going mid 14s all day even with mods. Go get him.

Same here. I have not seen one faster than 14.5 at the track. And that is with mods. I have raced a 350Z and a G35 on the street and beat both and I am a 14.6 on a good day.

If he can drive I think it will be a VERY close race. I'm may be going to look at a 350Z tomorrow, if I get a chance to test drive it I'll let you know my impression of it.

Thanks guys... I don't think he's going to get me... he seems pretty worried... joking about how he wishes he could put glue on his tires to stick better... I'll let ya'll know the outcome regardless... I hoping it's a good race. Seems when I race someone close to me I go a little better on my times...

superdust, I just noticed your mods... not to sound like a jerk or anything, but isn't 14.6 on a good day kinda bad for your mods? I would expect you to be in the high 13's low 14's...

You give my AODE too much credit. When I say 14.6 on a good day, I mean when my car doesn't pms at the track or doesn't rain on me. 14.6 was my first good run ever. The run after that was like a 17.6. It was a one tire fire. Eades5.0 was there, laughing at me the whole way. I think the car has more in it but fails to show at the track. I will go back soon. I have replaced a few things so it should run better.

yah, i didn't see the aode in there... still low 14's should be a reality for you... where do you guys race? I'm out here in texas and I would like to find some people from stangnet going to the same places I do... I regulary frequent kennedale and would like to go to the ennis 1/4 if friday ever presents the opportunity...

I have two tracks I have been two. One sucks ass, but is kinda close. The other is a better track but far as hell. I live in AZ. I know there is some people from Texas on here. What part are you from. I grew up in Lubbock.
