Rack N Pinion Boot Ques???

ok so i have a few year old reman rack n pinion on the way from work this morning i clipped a piece of rubber (chunk of tire) n it tore my boot right at the outter end completly around seam to leak a lil out of it what should i do?>? just replace boot? is it suppose to have some fluid in boot? thanks for your time

if you got the red oil in there the seal is leaking which isnt normal. if its very little you might be ok for a few years. keep an eye on it. you can try some lucas atf treatment to thicken it up and that might stop it.
