Just started yesterday the radiator fan wont shut off unless I disconnect the battery. The keys can be out even and the high speed fan will still be on. All grounds are attached and fuses are checked. I am assuming the the CCRM is faulty and will need to be replaced or I am probably going to install a switch with led indicator to bypass it. Let me know if you have any other suggestions or ideas.

I am not sure? It stays on high speed even when keys are out of the car and locked. Only shuts off if I pull the fuse or disconnect the battery.

MY regulator went on my old alternator at end of season last year. Pulled it out 2 days ago and when I started it the fan came on and stayed on, also the wipers turned on and washer fluid sprayed out without being commanded to do so. Replaced the alternator and charging system was good then but still the fan problem being on still persists and wipers dont work at all now but the sqirts do work tho.

The latched HEDF relay idea is a good one. The relays dont receive power to their coils unless the key is on.

Though not your issue, do be sure you reconnected the ECT (if it was disco'd for the alt swap).

At the CCRM, with the car off but fan running (be careful of the fan blade, moving parts, and all that) Check:

CCRM Pin 13 for twelve volts. You should NOT have it.
CCRM Pin 17 for continuity to ground. You should not have it.

CCRM pins 6,7, 3, and 4 will all probably show 12 volts as well.

If 13 and 17 are cold but the fan is on, the relay probably latched. If 13 and 17 are active, that's a new set of testing (your EEC relay might be latched). Post if that's so and we can run those pins.

Good luck.

Update:

It urns out thanks to help from JT that the low speed fan is the one that comes on at all times. As it turns out it was in fact the CCRM low speed fan relay that lached and stuck closed running continous power through it. Just wanted to update you guys and thanks for all the help.
