My engine is a 302 built up and I am using the same water pump style as the 289 had. I bought an Edelbrock high vol water pump and will run with V belts as the 289 originally did. So the replacement radiator will have inlet and outlet both on the passenger side.
I am trying to sort out this 2 row, 3 row and 4 row aluminum radiator configuration. Some say it is the size of the rows vs. the row count. And then there is fins per inch. Seems a 2 row with 1" or 1 1/4" tubes makes sense.
I have been looking at Champion brand aluminum radiators.
I can go to an electric fan also if necessary.
I live in Tucson AZ so yes it is hot here and the car has a/c.
