Radiator Support were there two different types AC vs non?

This may be one of those cases where I over think something. I have a factory air conditioned 1968 289 with a C4 transmission. I need a radiator for it, (one did not come with the car). I don't have all the AC components for it, so I want to delete AC all together.

I measured the radiator opening and it is roughly 24 x 15 1/2 inches.

So the question is were there two different radiator supports one size of AC cars and another for non AC cars?

And can I buy the 20 inch wide radiator because there was only one type of radiator support, or do I have to buy the 24 inch wide one because I have a radiator support designed for an AC car?

Bro,
I got an really "NICE" aluminum replacement for AC or not in the 24" size for $189+shipping. Don't rule out wanting the AC down the road and PLEASE don't trash any of the OEM AC parts as they are worth their weight in gold. I'll find a link for the radiator and PM it to you when I get a chance. BTW, what parts are missing?

No. All radiator supports the same. 67-70 cars with 20" radiators had a 2" steel filler panel at each side.

Don't delete the AC, the under-dash unit will work perfectly as a heater, in fact is a better heater than the standard one. Cap the evap connectors at the firewall. Some day, when you're sweating your a** off, you'll start figuring how to buy the missing parts and get it working again. Trust me.

I agree, do not dispose of the AC. Keep all of it.
