Radio delete plate. Any Ideas?

Nonwear parts and things that are visually appealing cost more then they should, its one of those facts of life.... You could try and fab something up yourself. Do you have poney or regular interior ?

what about a heater delete plate? anyone know where to get that?

Some sheet metal, cutters, welder & sweat! :D I'm in process of cutting/welding one for mine, as well as one for the radio. It's gonna lay flush w/the metal around it. Gonna look sorta like some fox bodies do w/the smooth engine bay. I'll shoot you some before and after pics if you want Luis.

hell yeah dylan that would be great. BTW let me know how hard it is. i wish i had something to make a curve in the metal. BTW im about to buy a rotissorie cause im tired of laying on my back taking off the under coating LOL.

anyway have you seen the dash w/o out the pad? just smooth metal? i removed the piece that holds the pad and im gonna smooth it out, i think it looks sick and now i can sell my new pad and put that towards more parts:D

Show us a pic of your dash without the pad on it. I'm curious to see how that looks.

A rotis would be nice; seen the plans online to build your own? I'm using 1/4" steel I picked up from the metal yard's scrap pile for .30/lb to build a frame holder. Tho, another project isn't what you have time for or need right now :)
Try a body shop supply store for the tools you need for the metal bending. It'll take some practice, but you'll get it right. Come to think of it that's actually a good idea about smoothing the dash out... :D

I have the same issue with wanting to cover the radio hole, that someone drilled some extra holes. I am either going to get a piece of aluminium, around .030 thick radius the edges and make a nice curve, and install the plate with some stainless steel fastners. Or just get an original radio and make a nice frame for the radio to go into. Aluminum is very easy to bend, and can be purchased from aircraft suppy shops online.
