I recently installed a PowerMaster 1-wire alt. I have since removed parts of the old alternator wiring harness, the voltage regulator, and it's harness, but there is one thing left. It is the small cylinder under the volt. regulator, called a radio suppresion compressor. I searched the site and looked through my manual, but nothing does it say what this is for, and if you can run without it. I don't have a radio, so can I remove this part? I'd like to, because otherwise I'd just have that sticking to the firewall which looks so clean without the voltage regulator. Thanks guys!

It help to get rid of the whine from alternators is correct.
I also installed the powermaster and removed all that stuff to. I installed a new capacitor on the powermaster.

Well, it's gone. I haven't driven yet, but we'll see if there's any difference.
