Trying to get car ready for a show tomorrow in Effingham Illinois and the weather was not cooperating today. May very well rain tomorrow anyway, but still hoping it doesn't. Last year I got a special award, one of the Top 4 Mustangs. So I really want to go.

Nope, front bumper has not been repainted.. Hope it doesn't look like it does :(

I actually have a 2 car garage that its parked right in front of. I had just taken it out to touch up the interior and it started to pour. Then engine was still clean from when I cleaned it up 3 weeks ago. I'm going to go out in the garage here in a bit and wax it and maybe polish the wheels. With the rain being so hard to judge, I may hold off on wasting the polish until I get to the show.

I drove 7 hours to the Maple Grove NMRA nationals one year...in the rain...only to have the entire event called off at the last minute. So it could be worse :p

This whole week has been sunndy days followed by 1 hour or torrential thunderstorms. It sucks cuz there is no point washing the car if it's gonna pour. All the storms are righ around rush hour too, so the wheels get dirty and the tire wet comes off and all that crud :(

Well it rained off and on while going to the show, about 45 minute drive. Stopped at the car wash and took a look and decided it didn't even need a rinse off. Good wax helps :)

They gave awards to the top 50 and then separate awards to the top 4 scoring mustangs. I got one of those, just like I did last year :D So it was a cool day.

Got it all set and ready to go to a small show tomorrow. Oh yea, turned 95,000 on way home :(

It has never been exactly the same color, since Ford painted the urethane nose without it being on the car, but Yea I think it is fading some. For 11 months, I drove it on and off with a "lebra" to protect the front end, but in doing so i think it did do some damage. Lesser of two evils I guess.

Every time I see your car I'm impressed with what great condition it's in. Looks more like 9,500 miles. Just goes to show that there is more to the Mustang world than a Five-Oh. Good on you. :nice::nice:

Thanks Grover, glad I'm not the only one fading away:p

Show I went to today was Top 30 and it was participant voting. So hard to get a win at a show that is not judged. 61 entries and I took home a plaque still. I was surprised. There was only two newer cars that took home a plaque, myself and a 92 calypso green convertible :jaw:

As always, the ride looks great. Congrats on the awards! :nice:

The latter show (on the cobblestone) looks like it had some neat entries.

the guy with vert lives in the same town as i do, came to all the car shows that we put on. He also has a silver 88 McCleren and a nice red Fiero, both are super sweet.
