Hey I was thinking bout going with the ramcharger duel fan for 140 bucks for my setup..it says it comes with all the wiring and a switch..my question is, is this simple to install. How exactly did you guys mount this and how long/much fabrication did it take to mount it really good?
I heard it cools very nicely...Also I have a 2 year old stock radiator...Would the fan help me with even running the stocker? ALso i do need a 3g 160 amp alternator correct? where the cheapest place to get one..but i want a reliable one too..thanks..

I just ordered mine, should be here tommorow. I would reccomend upgrading the alt to either a 130 or 160 3G. I went with the polished 160 from alterstart. I'm not sure how it mounts up, but I would also get an aluminim radiator. I got mine from the local speed shop for $220.

Great fan. Ive had mine for a few weeks now and am glad I went with that
set-up. I just used a few strips of metal from the hardware store and
bent/drilled them to mount in the same spots the old shroud mounted in.
Even if you have to make brackets, it should only take an hour or so to
install. Its not bad at all. Im using the stock alternator with mine. Its pretty
well maxed out though, I would upgrade if you have the cash.

I got my Ramcharger and 160A Alterstart alternator last week. My alternator is the same one as cardudeusa, only it isn't polished. I installed the alternator yesterday (easy install, a little bit of grinding- huge charging difference). I have a 3 core aftermarket copper radiator, and the Ramcharger fan shroud is an inch and a half wider on both sides. I was thinking of getting a Griffin 31 X 19 aluminum radiator from Summit for $189. Otherwise, I'd have to really trim the shroud. Someone that posts here had a picture and the Ramcharger fit PERFECTLY on the Griffin. I think the fan is an excellent buy for $140.

Good Luck-

Just put my fan on toady. I have an 31" aluminum radiator, but the fan was just about 1/8th inch too long. I had to trim it a bit. I didn't get it to fit as perfect as I wanted, but It will do until I have more time to make it work right. I used brackets of my old proform fan, just put 1 more 90* bend in it. I havent NEEDED to turn the fans on high all day today. In 95* FL weather... Yeah Haw.
