I have news for you folks! several things actually...

I got new brakes, and replaced my old water pump...So the car isn't leaking anymore. Next project for me is to find a new intake and remove the smog pump...yeah I had a couple of questions..
1. Does anyone know the part number or size of the belt to delete the smog pump?
2. I heard that edelbrock is not really the best for ford, so what intake should i go with? some guys out here say holley and some say professional products, but i thought professional products modeled most of their stuff from edelbrock?? any input you folks have would be greatly appreciated.

~edit from original posting~
I am on another forum where they basically convinced me that the performer rpm is the way to go..suggestions??

3. I'm still extremely poor, my brakes only cost me the parts and the water pump (and a new radiator and electric fan) was free. so if anyone has an intake and/or the belt just laying around that you want to get rid of, please let me know.

peace

The intake is going to be determined on current and future mods. Which we don't know?

sorry 'bout that. current mods are as follows: (this is as close as I can guess without tearing everything out)

b303 cam
holley 600cfm carb
flowmaster 40 series (no cats)
built t-5
...not sure what else

I haven't officially taken it to the track. I say officially because I took it once and it ran like schidt the whole time I was there so i couldn't get a good time. Consequently, I'm in the process of finding a harmonic balancer and timing chain to try and fix the inconsistency.

future mods include:
msd 6a ignition module
headers
aluminum heads (when I can find them)
intake
smog delete
1.6 or 1.72 rockers
f303 cam
and anything else I find that I need to make the car as stable and consistent as possible while (hopefully) releasing as much power as possible. I'm hoping for about 375 but maybe you guys could hit me with a more realistic number?

I'm probably not going to do a power adder until at least next year. Right now my main concern is making sure the car lasts until then and stays fast.
