Hey, I'm looking for timing chains and tensioners for my new motor (2v 4.6). I noticed Cloyes makes replacement chains and tensioners but I don't know what kind of quality to expect from those since they seem to be more reasonably priced than the performance websites. I was wondering who made the oem Ford timing chains & tensioners and how much these parts cost from Ford.

Actually, after a little reading in the 5.0 tech forum, it sounds like Cloyes makes Ford's chains... but I also read a few comments that make it sound like I might need stronger than oem chains if I'm going to spin high rpms. This motor build is for boost and I want to be in the 600-700 horsepower range. What to do??

stock chains are more than enuff to handle your HP & boost needs....chains are $35.16 each and the steel tensioners are $50.35 each and all is in stock
