Rant: Fox GTs sitting high in the front

Okay so Im kinda bored and this forum has been so sleepy lately I decided to talk about something I see all too often. Lowered fox bodies, mostly GTs that sit a fair amount higher in front than the rear.
What is the deal with this? Do they have big heavy systems in back with 8-10" woofers? Do that many cars have all aluminum small blocks out there? Maybe those Ebay spring kits arent the best way to go, I dont know.
I have lowered alot of stangs in my time and I know the ground effects on the GTs might be a little decieving but when the rockers arent level or at least a tad higher in back it just looks ghey.
And something else that bothers me that usually goes hand in hand with this is the wrong offset Cobra R wheels. SN95 17x9s just look aweful sticking out of the wheelwells in front and tucked in back. To be honest I dont realy think you can make a 9" wide wheel look good on the front of a fox without the right front suspension and even then it just doesnt look great.

Anyway thats about it, rant over.

I think they're just getting old enough now that a significant number have saggy butt syndrome. Some probably have original 20 year old springs. Doesn't help any that the GT ground effects are prone to sagging as well, which makes the car look really old & tired.

I know what your talking about with the saggy springs. But the ones Im talking about have obviously been lowered.

I am totally with EJ on this one. Stance of the car makes it or breaks it and I do see some GTs like that. Perhaps the LX does not show off its lack of parallelism to the ground like the squared off GT does, but he is right. There are several out there.

On the same note, I hate lifted trucks that sit higher in front than the back. Come on... $2500 lift for you new truck and it doesn't sit right? My own truck is almost too level for my liking. Looks good sitting, but put something in the bed or tow the trailer and its nose high. I'm buying air bags for the back just to fix those times when it is loaded.

Maybe the GT owners that EJ and I are seeing need air bags or smaller girl friends in the car!

its the ebay spring kits!!!! they SUCK I know this first hand. People buy the kits for 100 bucks and they lower the cars 2inchs all the way around,... and those that know anything about stangs, thats a NO! front must be lower'd more than the back. So,..... people stop being cheap and get H&R's!!!!

Well I saw a Fox GT today that redeemed a few of the bad ones. It was getting onto the freeway in Marysville headed north at about 1:30 pm. It was kind of a blue-ish/ gun metal gray color with black wheels and it sat perfect. The wheel offset was even right, go figure.

Although I am far from unique with my wheel combo, I have had multiple compliments about the offset and I have not dont anything to alter it:shrug: but I agree on the worthless looking saggy foxes...:notnice: :nono:

Edit: Oh, and my wheels are 17x9 and it looks great in front.

my fox also has 17x9 up front and i dont have an offset problem also the sn95 spindles coil overs and c&c plate help the front out but the back stil has stick springs whit new control arms if i dont have a full tank it actually rasies

Fiveohblow, I must say by looking at the pic your car does seem to sit right and the fronts are tucked in nicely. Mind if I ask what size tires your running up front?

Scooby, kinda hard to see in that pic how they sit when the wheels are straight but I do like those rims.

Launchpad, well see you have an LX. LX's RULE everybody knows that. But seriously, both my cars sit a bit lower in front as well. On my 4 banger car I did that so I could have some weight in back be it kids or parts etc. On the V8 car I did it to fit the drag tires.
