If we get enough information an feedback in this thread, it could eventually become a sticky. It's simple... Rate your brake pads.

What year is your car?
What brake package do you have?
What rotors are you using?
What pads are you using?
How much dust do they generate?
How much squeeling do they do?
How well do they perform on the street?
Are you street, track, both, or track only?
If you run separate pads for the track, what are they and how well to they perform?

Feel free to add other factors involved like upgraded brake lines, fluid, etc. If we get enough involvement, I'll come back and keep a total up for preferences with pros and cons for the individual pads.

On my '06 GT, I ran stock pads & rotors and they worked fine on the street. No dust and quiet. Then I took the car to Sebring on NEW stock brakes and destroyed/glazed them in less than three 20-minute sessions. The rear pads look like charcoal, like they'd been on fire. The front pads looked like they'd been smeared, for lack of a better word. Glazed, I guess.

At the track, we installed Hawk Quiet Slot rotors and Hawk HP+ pads. (with Motul RBF600 fluid) Braking was dramatically improved, and I could only make the brakes fade at the end of the third session. I think the pedal went mushy because I overheated the fluid with stock sized brakes and no brake cooling ducts.

I kept those brakes on the car for a year after that Sebring event and they served me well on the street, but the HP+s were very noisy and I literally had to wash the wheels twice a week to keep my GT500 wheels from looking gunmetal. After just shy of 20k miles on the street in about a year of use, the pads AND rotors were thoroughly used up (though they still worked well).

I just installed the Centric/Stoptech drilled/slotted rotors on the car with Hawk HPS pads and I'd say it stops about 95% as well on the street, but they are perfectly quiet and they don't dust any more than the stockers did. I haven't had the car back to Sebring yet, but on the autocross course they never showed any sign of fading. (yeah, I know, less than two minutes of hard use)

Hope this helps.

How well do they perform on the street? really well, not performance, just meant to be better than stock.

These break pads and rotors are for street use daily driver only that wants mild performance on the STREET.
