Adam, you sure about that harmonic balancer? He said he's getting it at WOT. If the harmonic balancer was bad you would know even at idle. I had a piece come off one time, and the whole car was shaking.

i'm not following your question ... agreed, the symptom as described may not fit perfectly, but ...

Ill get this done then see if it makes shifter stop shaking so hard and maybe be able to hear that pinging again if it was ever even that. Hopefully not

the OP was talking about shaking. shaking can be caused by a HB that has gone bad, and you are probably aware that this seems to be a fairly common thing with our motors. all we are saying is that it is a good idea to check it.

How heavy is fuel tank? Im gonna try to do this by myself(fuel pump replacement). I only have small jack(2ton) same stands hopefully will be up high enough to pull tank out... Also says im supposed to let car run after disconnecting the emergency shut of switch, but it wont start to do this, so will that be ok? Any tips anything I should know to make this easier cause this is a first time doing this

Yea, was just wondering if anyone has seen a bad HB that wasn't obvious under all conditions.
For sure, won't hurt to check it. Sometimes you have to verify things that are good before you can pinpoint what isn't.
