Really annoying beep noise

I have a beeping noise coming from what sounds like behind the pass side dash area. It only does it every now and again and quits after a few seconds, got any ideas what it may be? Thanks guys

Airbag computer behind the radio. It beeps if there is a problem with the dash light to let you know there is a problem with the airbag system. Does the airbag light come on when you start the car? It could just be burned out, or you could have a wiring problem like with the clockspring in the steering wheel.

yea speaking of that the air bag light does flash. so what needs to be done to fix it? whats the clockspring you mentioned?

I get that beep at start-up every once in a while, my airbag light does not flash though, it comes on when the key is turned though, so it does work.

The clockspring is a spool of wire that powers the airbag and the functions on the steering wheel and is located in the column below the airbag. It is usually what fails due to years of turning the steering wheel, but you should check out the codes. Here is some info:

Yep the Beeping is coming from the Airbag Diagnostic Monitor, it is the blue Box in behind the Climate Controls.

Ok cool ill check it out. It only beeps for a few seconds when I fire it up so that fix is gonna be put on the ol back burner for now. As long as it doesnt pop out for no reason it aint hurtin my feelins to much

Dang,i got the same problem,only i dont have an airbag and also i cant see the airbag light cause i got gauges a few years back and i covered the airbag light. I havent heard the beeps in 2 weeks though.But it was annopying as hell when i did,like a speaker with a bad connection sputtering beeps. How do i get rid of it if it comes back?
