really stupid question but im stumped

alright, i just got done installing a 10/10 remanufactured crankshaft. installed the cam and went to install the timing chain but noticed that the crank snout doesnt have a key way like the one i took out. it had an indentation where it the keyway should be. what do i do? thanks in advance

the keys (male part that sticks out) are often removable.

hmm....i was thinking that...but i couldnt figure out how to get it out. i guess it just takes a little convincing

local speed shop will have crank keys. forgot the right size, but i think it takes the same one as a chevy.

the indent is your key way thats what your key goes in

i work at advance auto....i just cant remember if ive ever seen one in the store. guess ill be callin up the local ford engine builder. thanks for the help guys
