Rear Axle Vent

I was looking around on my rear axle and where the vent is screwed into the axle there is a piece of metal that extends down the back side of the axle and has the brake line in it. Is the piece of metal attached to the brake line or is it just bent over as a holder to keep the brake line from vibrating?

It is attached to your brakeline and just has a hole in it up top so when the vent is screwed in it helps hold it there.

I am cleaning up and painting my rear axle and when I seen that bracket I wasnt sure if it was part of the brake line or just a support for it. Thanks!
